Cyber Copilot
Give Copilot the right context
Attach a file, explain what matters, and turn a broad question into a useful answer.
You do not have to describe everything from memory. A screenshot, a document or a text file can give Copilot the material you are talking about. The attachment supplies the source; your message supplies the question and the format you need.
Attach the source to your message
Use the attachment button, drag a file into the composer or paste an image. A file chip appears before you send the message, so you can check that the intended file is attached or remove it.
The composer supports several kinds of material, including images, PDFs and text or code files. If a file is refused or cannot be read, follow the displayed message. Adding a file does not guarantee that every part of its contents can be extracted.
Say what to do with it
Give the file a job: “Summarize this document in five points”, “Explain the error in this screenshot” or “Find the dates mentioned in this text.” Specify whether you want a list, a table or a short explanation.
Add the context the file cannot carry by itself: who the answer is for, which section matters and what decision you need to make. Ask Copilot to say when the source does not provide an answer instead of filling the gap.
Refine within the same thread
Your sent files remain attached to their messages in the conversation. Follow up on the same source: ask for a shorter version, compare two passages or point out a detail that was missed.
Check important details against the original material. If you move to a new conversation, attach the relevant source again rather than assuming the new thread has it. A conversation’s context and Copilot’s memory are different things.
Cyber Academy
What to remember
- Check the attachment chip before sending.
- Give both the source and a clear question with an expected format.
- Use the same thread for follow-ups and verify details against the original.
