Reset a forgotten password
If you cannot remember your password, Cyber Corp emails you a link that lets you choose a new one. The link lasts one hour and works only once, so it is best to start this while you can read your inbox.
Two ways to change a password
Which route you need depends on one thing only: whether you can still get into your account right now.
If you cannot sign in, you go through your inbox. Cyber Corp emails a link that lets you set a new password without knowing the old one. If you are still signed in somewhere and simply want a different password, you do not need an email at all — Settings has a form for it, and it takes seconds.
| What differs | You cannot sign in | You are still signed in |
|---|---|---|
| Where you start | The sign-in page, then Forgot your password? | Settings, then My Account, then the Password row |
| What proves it is you | A link sent to the email address on the account | Your current password, typed in |
| What you need to hand | Access to that inbox | The password you use today |
| How long you have | One hour from the moment the email leaves | No limit |
| Clears a locked account | Yes, the moment the new password is saved | No, because you have to be signed in already |
| Signs you out everywhere | Yes | Yes |
Ask for a link
This is the route to take when you are locked out. It asks for nothing you have to remember.
Open the forgotten-password page
On the sign-in page, look at the line above the password box: the word Password sits on the left and Forgot your password? on the right. Select it. You land on cybercorp.ai/forget_password.
Type your username or your email address
There is one field and either will do. Capital letters do not matter.
Select Send Instructions
The button shows a moment of activity while the request goes out, then the whole card is replaced by a confirmation screen.
Go and read your inbox
The email is titled Reset your password — Cyber Corp. Keep the confirmation screen open if you like; you do not need to come back to it.
One hour, one use
The email holds a button, Reset my password. If the button does nothing in your mail app, the same link is printed underneath, ready to copy into your browser.
The link expires one hour after it was sent and stops working as soon as a new password is saved with it. The page checks validity when you submit; it does not display a live countdown.
- Link lifetime
- One hour, counted from the moment the email is sent
- Uses
- One. Saving a password with it kills it, and every older link with it
- A second request
- Does not cancel the first. Both work until one is used or the hour runs out
- Between two emails
- Sixty seconds for the same account
- Emails per account
- Five, then the count starts again after a completed reset
If you open a link that is too old or already spent, the page tells you it is no longer valid and offers Request a new link. Nothing is broken and nothing was lost. Ask for a fresh email and carry on.
Choose the new password
The link opens a page with two boxes: the new password, and the same password again. Under each box the requirements tick off as you type, so you can always see what is still missing.
A password needs at least 8 characters, both upper-case and lower-case letters, at least one digit, and at least one special character such as @, # or $. It can be up to 100 characters long. The two boxes have to match exactly. There is an eye button on each box if you want to check what you have typed, and nothing here blocks pasting, so a password manager can fill both.
What changes once the new password is saved
The page confirms the change and offers a Sign in button. A short email follows, titled Your password has been updated — Cyber Corp, so a change you did not make cannot pass unnoticed.
Saving a new password revokes the sessions on your devices. A device that already has a valid access token may keep working for up to 15 minutes before it asks you to sign in again.
A reset also clears a locked account straight away. Ten wrong passwords in a row lock an account for fifteen minutes, and while it is locked, sign-in is refused even with the right password. You do not have to wait those fifteen minutes out if you complete a reset, because the emailed link has already proved the mailbox is yours.
Nothing else about the account moves. Your conversations, your connected apps, your automations, your plan and your monthly task allowance are all exactly where you left them.
If the email never arrives
Look in the spam or junk folder first, and search for the words Cyber Corp rather than scrolling. Give it about five minutes before you decide it is missing.
Wait at least sixty seconds between requests for the same account. To request another email, use the option to try a different address, return to the form and enter your identifier again. Up to five reset emails can be requested; completing a reset clears this count.
Then check the obvious thing: the address itself. If you signed up with a work address and are watching a personal inbox, the email is sitting somewhere you are not looking. Select the option to try a different address on the confirmation screen and send it again.
If none of that helps, contact support@cybercorp.ai from the address you believe is on the account. Describe what you tried and the message shown; do not include a password or a reset link.
